Renaissance Art Auction to be Held on Hilton Head Island, SC

Morris & Whiteside Galleries will present their Thirteenth Annual Renaissance Sale on Hilton Head Island, SC, on Sat. afternoon, Oct. 27, 2001. The art auction and set price event will feature over 200 paintings and sculpture by over 80 leading American representational artists including William Acheff, Cyrus Afsary, Joe Bohler, Nelson Boren, Joe Bowler, Harley Brawn, Paul Calle, Scott Christensen, Don Crawley, Stan Davis, Tony Eubanks, Jonathan Green, Michael Harrell, William Hook, Clark Hulings, Wilson Hurley, Milt Kobayashi, David Leffel, Tom Lovell, Frank McCarthy, Dan McCaw, Sherrie McGraw, Eric Michaels, Dean Mitchell, Pino, Loran Speck, Michael Stack, Curt Walters, William Whitaker, Coby Whitmore, Kim Wiggins and Bob Wygant.

The auction will also feature a significant selection of neo-regionalist paintings by Gary Ernest Smith. These icons of the American heartland have gained national recognition through major museum exhibitions across the United States.

The auction will be held at 4pm in the Elizabeth Wallace Theater of the Self Family Arts Center, directly across from Morris & Whiteside Galleries on William Hilton Parkway. All works may be previewed at the Morris & Whiteside Galleries Oct.15-26 from 9am-5pm and a preview reception will be held at the gallery Friday evening, Oct. 26 from 6-8pm. A full color catalogue of the sale is available from the gallery for $20.
