Costume Designer Paul Tazewell to Show Work at Moring Arts Center in Asheboro, NC

The Randolph Arts Guild is proud to present an exhibition of the costume designs of Paul Tazewell, Tony-nominated designer for Broadway shows and major theatres throughout the US. Tazewell was nominated for an Antoinette Perry Award (the "Tony") for his work on Bring In D' Noise/Bring In D' Funk, a recent smash hit. The show will be on exhibit Sept. 17 through Oct. 26 in the Moring Arts Center in Asheboro, NC.

Currently his wearable art may be seen on characters in the touring edition of Guys and Dolls that will come to Raleigh and Charlotte early next year. Tazewell holds a BFA in costume design from the NC School of the Arts and MFA in set and costume design from NY University's Tisch School of Art.

The exhibition will consist of water-media renderings of costumes from various shows Tazewell has worked on as well as examples of completed masks and costumes. Some memorabilia from his career will also be included.

For more information check our NC Institutional Gallery listings or call the center at 336/629-0399.
