The featured artist of the month of Sept. at the Art Central Ltd. Gallery in Summerville, SC, is Gerrie Thompson. Her theme is Ponder This, and the artist's statement is, "Art is a thought process."
Thompson uses eclectic styles to present her unique perspective of life. Her styles range from realistic pencil drawings to stylized paintings which use bold vivid reds, blues, and greens. Thompson is able to capture moments in the life of people and animals in a slightly off-center manner.
Thompson is a must-see artist for art enthusiasts of the Lowcountry.
