Cleveland Co. Arts Center in Shelby, NC, Features Works by Three Artists

The Cleveland County Arts Center in Shelby, NC, is presenting the exhibition, Iron, Glass, Thread, featuring works by Robert (Butch) Silver, John Fisher, and Susan Doggett, from Sept. 12 through Oct. 3, 2002.

Iron = Butch Silver. Silver is an artist-blacksmith and glassworker. He creates
functional and non-traditional functional items of his own design as well as metal sculpture.

Glass = John Fisher. Fisher's work in stained glass is truly extraordinary. Having worked in stained glass for more than 20 years, often creating works of art from his own patterns, his work includes lamps, decorative
panels, boxes, metal screens and more.

Thread = Susan Doggett. Doggett has had an interest in thread and cloth since childhood, a passion learned in knitting and sewing with her grandmothers. In Doggett's view, the use of fibers extends backward to pre-history
and forward to today and beyond into the future as a connective tissue of all human experience.

Don't miss out on the works of these three exceptional artists for an artistic experience you won't soon forget.
