The Cosmopolitan Restaurant in Cary, NC, Features Works by Laura Lacambra Shubert

The Cosmopolitan restaurant located in McGregor Village in Cary, NC, will present the exhibition, Recent Work, featuring paintings by Laura Lacambra Shubert. The exhibit, organized by Gallery C of Raleigh, NC, will be on view through Oct. 31, 2003.

Shubert is taking the Triangle by storm. This Florida based artist creates large bold canvases in oils choosing the figure, table top still lifes and interiors as her subject matter. What is consistant in all the work is absolute palpable quality of light in each composition. The work is lush and loose and yet the images are strong and defined at the same time.

Shubert is a well respected artist in both this country and in Europe. Her father is Spanish and she attended art school both here and in Paris and continues to paint on both continents as well. Gallery C has been representing the artist since the beginning of the year and they are excited about Shubert's future here in North Carolina.

Recent Work will be on display in the main dining room of the Triangle's newest restaurant, The Cosmopolitan (owned and operated by award winning chef John Toler).
