Silver Fox Gallery in Tryon, NC, Features Works by Nathan Rose & Jim Shackelford
The Silver Fox Gallery in Tryon, NC, presents, Into the Wood, a show of new works by Nathan Rose of Belmont, NC, and painter Jim Shackelford of Saluda, NC, from Sept. 12 through Nov. 13, 2003.
Rose integrates characteristics of fine furniture of the past such as mortise and tenon joinery, surface embellishments and fine finishes while emphasizing the natural traits of individual pieces of wood. Rose has been included in juried exhibitions throughout the US and is a member of the Furniture Society, the American Craft Council, and Carolina Designer Craftsmen.
Jim Shackelford's work
has evolved from realism to impressionism and abstraction, but
always with bold, colorful strokes, and often, impasto surfaces.
His work has been exhibited in New York, Bonn (Germany) and
throughout the Southeast.
