The Frame Shop and Gallery's Art Café in Rock Hill, SC, will present the exhibit Regional Landscapes Old and New, by 70 year old Rock Hill native Cliff Hinson. The exhibit will be on view from Sept. 1 - 30, 2005.

Hinson's preferred medium is acrylic. However he also works in oil and watercolor. Hinson, who is self-taught, has made his art his career in Rock Hill by painting historic scenes and buildings as well as commissioned portraits. He has taught classes at Fewell Park for 23 years in order to influence others in the representational realistic style he is known for.

Hinson has hundreds of paintings in private and corporate collections including the City Club in down town Rock Hill. He won the Julia H Post City Award in 1990-91 and judged the Festival in the Park in Charlotte, NC, in 1988 and 1989. He has been a member of numerous art societies and guilds over the years including a charter member of the International Society of Artists.

The Art Café also offers handmade jewelry created by Constance Buchanan, also of Rock Hill. The gallery includes tables for seating patrons who wish to sip coffee and read a magazine while they enjoy the art.
