Spartanburg Art Museum in Spartanburg, SC, Offers Annual Guild Exhibition

The Spartanburg Art Museum, at the Chapman Cultural Center, in Spartanburg, SC, is presenting the Spartanburg Artists' Guild's 35th Annual Juried Exhibition, on view through Oct. 18, 2008.

This exhibition, one of the most prestigious in the Upstate, includes paintings, photography and sculpture by members of the Artists' Guild of Spartanburg. The 83 works in the show were juried into the exhibition by Lynne Marshall-Linnemeier from more than 200 entries.

First place, $1,000, second place, $750, and third place, $500, awards will be presented in addition to 4 merit awards offered by private and corporate sponsors at an opening reception and awards ceremony.

The Artists' Guild of Spartanburg is a non-profit organization for visual artists in Spartanburg and the surrounding communities. This program is sponsored in part by The Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg and its donors, the South Carolina Arts Commission which receives funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, and our generous supporters.

Also on view at the Museum through Oct. 25, 2008, is the exhibition, The Harold Krisel Print Collection From SAM's Permanent Collection.
