CURVE studios & garden in Asheville, NC, Offers Fall 2010 Open House Weekend & Twilight Party - Sept. 24-26, 2010

Recognized as a leader in Asheville, NC's River Arts District, CURVE studios & garden is humming with energy and harvesting lovely fruit from a bountiful summer of work. Already preparing for the coming holiday season, the 20 studio artists will pause to celebrate their continued success during the CURVE studios & garden Fall 2010 Open House Weekend Sept. 24-26, with a Twilight Party Friday, Sept. 24, 2010.

Most CURVE artists still scoff about the recessions' effect on their retail sales. "CURVE is having its best year ever, thanks to the new way-finding program and word getting out about the Asheville RAD," said Pattiy Torno, CURVE studios & garden owner. "It is almost scary some days - not being sure if we can keep up with the demand."

The CURVE studios & garden Fall 2010 Open House Weekend is an opportunity for visitors to enjoy the garden and visit in the studios of 20 artists including Pattiy Torno's Extraordinary Quilts, Eclectic Clothing & Fun Fleece, Barb Butler and Karen Donde at sutherland Handweaving Gallery & Teaching Studio, Meagan Chaney, Simone Wilson & Mimi Strang, all found in building #6. Constance Williams Gallery & Studios feature Fran Welch, Greg Vineyard, Cassie Ryalls, Lucile Stephens, Jenny Mastin, Patty Bilbro, Cynthia Wynn, Kelly Prestwood, Mystery Masiello, as well as Constance Williams' wonderful encaustic painting in building #9. Maria Andrade Troya and her ceramic cohorts, Akira Satake, Kyle Carpenter and Linda McFarling, can be found in building #12.

Open house hours are 11am-8pm Friday and 11am-5pm Saturday and Sunday. The twilight party begins at 5pm Friday and features a Mediterranean-themed feast, wine, Wedge beer and music. Throughout the weekend, CURVE studios & garden artists will offer in-studio demonstrations. Everyone is welcome.
