Page Walker Arts & History Center in Cary, NC, Features Works by Members of Professional Art Quilters Alliance-South

The Page Walker Arts & History Center in Cary, NC, will present ARTQUILTSfreezeframe, featuring works by members of Professional Art Quilters Alliance-South (PAQA-South), in their annual members exhibit, on view from Sept. 26 through Oct. 20, 2013. A reception will be held on Sept. 27, from 6-8pm.

This intriguing theme in ARTQUILTSfreezeframe, reveals how artists find the inspiration in photography and how they interpret that inspiration in their art quilts.

In this exhibition, PAQA-South is showcasing art quilts alongside the original photograph that inspired them. The exhibit is PAQA-South’s annual members-only exhibit and features only quilts created by the outstanding PAQA-South members, an expert group of professional fiber artists from across the United States.

Participating artists include: Mary Beth Bellah, Magenna Brink, Gwen Brink, Karen Lee Carter, Lucinda Cook, Sandy Curran, Pam Dowen, Laura Gaskin, Katy Gollahon, Christine Hager-Braun, Lynne G. Harrill, Margaret Jordan, Eileen Kane, Lyric Kinard, Susan Brubaker Knapp, Nancy Lassiter, Susan Lenz, Roxane Lessa, Laura McGrath, Mary Ritter, Annette Rogers, Penny Sharp, Patricia Smith, Karen Starnes, Katherine Stein, Ana Sumner, Denny Webster, Eileen Williams, Jenny Williams, and Nanette Zeller.

PAQA-South is a group of professional artists from across the United States who come together to promote innovative fiber and quilting arts.
