Redux Contemporary Art Center in Charleston, SC, Offers Works by Gwyneth Scally

Redux Contemporary Art Center in Charleston, SC, is presenting Wilderness Management, a solo exhibition by Gwyneth Scally, on view through Oct. 5, 2013.

Scally has created a site-specific installation using locally sourced materials as well as hanging jellyfish sculptures and paintings to weave Lowcountry imagery into faraway forests and the wildlife that populate them.

Scally was born and raised in Washington, DC. Her work is deeply informed by an early immersion in the worlds of politics and journalism; the malleable natures of truth and information are important themes in her paintings, as are the underlying psychological forces that shape the public worlds of mass culture and communication.

For further information check our SC Institutional Gallery listings, call the Center at 843/722-0697 or visit (www.reduxstudios.org).
