Spartanburg Art Museum Presents Rescheduled Exhibit

The three-person Siblings art exhibit has been rescheduled for Sept. 7 through Oct. 7, 2013, at the Spartanburg Art Museum, located in the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg, SC. It had originally been booked to run Aug. 1 through 31, 2013.

Siblings will be an exhibit by brothers and stepsister Ben and John Nixon and Page Davis, the adult children of local businessman George Nixon, who owns Allegra printing in Spartanburg. Ben Nixon had a collection of 58 historically important photographs by the world’s great master photographers - Plates To Pixels - on display at SAM.

Ben Nixon’s own photography is often black and white landscapes that look surreal and both foreign and familiar. John Nixon creates collages of medical drawings of human body parts rearranged to resemble flowers. And, Page Davis creates colorful, non-representational acrylic paintings.
