Carolina Arts Online was launched in October 1998, as a companion to Carolina Arts newspaper. You will find many items on this electronic version of the newspaper which don't appear in the printed version of the newspaper. Fortunately, now you can see the actual printed version pages each month which includes advertising that appears in each issue of the printed paper.
As of January 1, 2006, we have over 7 years of the paper on the website. Because we have so many pages, please don't rely on any pricing information for ads on pages dated before 2006. Please refer instead to "How the Paper Works" under "Advertising".
Each month we will add in new Feature Articles, Photos, Commentary, and other special items from the printed paper and those that we could not fit in or came too late for publication. We'll also update the Gallery Listings and ART NEWS items. For the artists out there who keep an eye on our Call For Entry listings in the ART NEWS column, we'll update those calls for entries as often as we can, due to their often "untimely" release.
It should also be noted that in Carolina Arts Online we have more room to include Gallery Listings of exhibits and galleries that are located in areas of North and South Carolina that we don't cover in the printed version of the paper.
We encourage any comments or suggestions to be e-mailed to us.
