Vista Studios in Columbia, SC, Offer Group Show for Vista Lights

Eye Level is a portrait and self-portrait exhibition showing the work of participating artists from Vista Studios. The show will be on view from the weekend of Vista Lights, Nov. 18, and continue through Dec. 3 at Gallery 80808 in Columbia, SC.

The exhibit will included realism as well as individual interpretations of the portrait by Vista Studio artists that work in a variety of mediums. The exhibition will atempt to reveal how each artist has thought about and approached the theme of the show.

The exhibition will include the work of Pat Callahan, Rueben Gambrell, Robert Kennedy, Charles Dillingham, Lynn Bell Rose, Yovnne Ruff, Mike Williams, Frances Perkins, Janette Grassi, Carol Barks, Laura Spong, Ethel Brody, Tyler Blanton and Robert Allison.

Robert Allison is a sculptor and the newest member of Vista Studios. He has won numerous awards and is currently working on a large sculpture to be placed in the outdoor garden on Palmetto Richland Hospital. The large sculpture will be unveiled in the Spring of 2000. He will be showing his sculpture and demonstrating in the outdoor courtyard in front of the entrance to Vista Studios and Gallery 80808 the evening of the Vista Lights.

Be sure to include Vista Studios while touring the galleries the evening of Vista Lights, Nov. 18, from 5-10pm. If you are coming from out of town or on a weekend please call us at 803/22-6134. We would not want you to miss the exhibition Eye Level.
